An interview with the great Marilyn Halperin, Director of Education and Communications, Chicago Shakespeare Theatre
Marilyn Halperin has worked for the Chicago Shakespeare Theatre for many years – ever since the operation was based in a one-bedroom appartment (where she fondly recalls a papier-mache Macduff baby in the bath-tub). It was Marilyn who organised our itinerary while we were in Chicago, who looked after us, cared for us, and showed us around. She is living her vocation and here describes how she sees Shakespeare make a difference to people’s lives.
